Hello and welcome to mfkDesign!  I am Megan F. Kinneen, a future architect, theater artist, writer, and illustrator.  I am a recent Masters of Architecture graduate of the Boston Architectural College with a prior BFA in Theater Design and Technology from Emerson College.  My experience in theater propelled my interest in architecture and my understanding of the built environment as a form of non-verbal storytelling.

 

I am interested in experimental ideas in preservation and heritage conservation which find non-conventional means of expressing complex and layered historical narratives.  I believe that preservation is not just the act of restoring isolated historic structures from the past, but also the active protection of existing communities and neighborhoods of color for future generations.
